We match families to child care providers that meet the family's child care needs.

Dear Child Care Partners,

Due to higher than expected attrition rates, the Employment Related Day Care program is discontinuing the Child Care (ERDC) Reservation list.

Effective March 22, 2011, our rules have changed allowing for DHS to remove the eligibility requirement for parents to have transitioned from TANF to employment or not have had a break in ERDC benefits in more than two (2) calendar months.

The intent of this change is to allow all clients who do not have Employment Related Child Care or have lost benefits to access services.

FREE CHILD CARE REFERRALS TO PARENTS SEEKING CHILD CARE PROVIDERS:

SUPPORT AND TRAINING FOR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS:

  • Enroll any registered, certified, or exempt child care provider for referrals
  • Assist providers to become licensed child care providers
  • Update openings with providers on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate or create trainings for providers to meet licensing requirements and promote quality care
  • Resource Lending Library of toys, equipment, resource books, video tapes, children's books
  • Bi-monthly newsletter of information and training schedules.
  • Technical assistance with problems in business, child behaviors, health issues, communication, DHS payments, locating resources, parent conflicts, etc.
